Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Your blood consists of multiple components including red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. A portion of your blood, the Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) contains the largest amount of growth factors. These growth factors help with skin rejuvenation, healing and collagen stimulation.
Uses of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)
Think of PRP as a natural filler. Since PRP contains growth factors that help with collagen stimulation, it is the body’s natural way of smoothing the skin.
PRP can be used with our Morpheus 8 Microneedling and Radio Frequency device. By combining Microneedling and Radio Frequency technology with PRP, you are accelerating the rejuvenation process leading to smoother, firmer and noticeably younger-looking skin. The micro needling and radio frequency tighten skin and promotes healthy new tissue, while the PRP induces faster healing and accelerates the process of collagen stimulation.
PRP injections in the scalp stimulate hair growth by increasing blood flow to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. The procedure is divided into three sessions every 4-6 weeks followed by 1-2 maintenance sessions annually.
By combining our Morpheus Microneedling and Radio Frequency device with PRP, scars and stretch marks are dramatically improved in appearance. PRP can also be used to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.
How soon will I see PRP results and how long will they last?
Results vary by individual but on average, you can start seeing results for both hair and skin rejuvenation at 2 -3 weeks.
Full results will take 6 -8 weeks for skin rejuvenation.
PRP for hair loss will show full effects after 4-6 months.
PRP Results will last on average one to two years.
